Safety Operating Guidelines
Inflatables are fantastic fun, please
help us to help you enjoy your time using ours
Our Pledge to you
The inflatables we
have for hire have been constructed to a high standard and maintained to
that high standard. They are checked on
delivery and inspected when packed away.
Safety is our main priority
Our business is
providing you with safe fun and a high quality, friendly, reliable service
that you can depend on not to let you down.
You and your
children’s safety are paramount to us! In order for you to get the most
fun and enjoyment from our equipment please observe these simple
guidelines.
 |
Try and ensure
children are grouped together in similar sizes for playing on the
equipment this makes your supervisory role easier and prevents larger
children accidentally hurting the smaller children.
|
 |
Common sense will
determine how may children of any one size can play safely on the
equipment. As a guidance, 6-8 children on our 11 x 13 units and 8-10 on
our 11 x 15 units and slide bouncers.. |
 |
Your children
will be excited when the castle is delivered and probably want to see
what’s going on. Our friendly staff are happy to let them watch, but
please ensure you maintain a safe distance as the castle is being
erected and deflated. |
 |
Please be aware
of the electrical blower at the rear that runs constantly and maintains
the inflation. This area carries electrical cables and the air intake
for the blower. Please make sure children do not play in this area. |
 |
Should the
inflatable start to deflate for some reason, evacuate the equipment
carefully and slowly. The inflatable is designed to deflate slowly to
enable you to get off before it deflates. |
What
should we check if there is a problem?
 |
Check that the
blower is still operating |
 |
Has something been
sucked into, or covering the air intake of the blower? |
 |
Has the circuit
breaker supplied, tripped out? |
 |
Has someone
accidentally tripped over the cable and disconnected it? |
 |
Has the air pipe
become disconnected from the blower? |
 |
Has the inflatable
fabric been damaged? |
Conditions of Use
 |
No
adults allowed on the inflatable. The maximum age limit is 14 years.
Bright’N’Bouncy will not be held liable for any injury/loss
occurring to anyone over the age of 14 who contravenes this Agreement.
|
 |
It
is essential that use of the equipment is closely supervised at all
times by a responsible adult (18+).
Statistics show that incidents mostly occur when use of the
equipment is unsupervised.
|
 |
No
shoes, glasses, jewellery, buckles, badges, key-rings, metal-studded
clothing, pets, toys or other sharp instruments or any other similar
items which could cause damage to others or the equipment, allowed on
inflatable. |
 |
No
smoking, fires or barbecues to be used on/near inflatable.
|
 |
No
face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or "silly
string" must be used near or on the inflatable.
They make a considerable mess and will permanently stain damage
the unit for which the Hiree will be liable. |
 |
Do
not relocate the inflatable.
It has been positioned in a location that has been assessed for
risks by our personnel.
If it must be moved for safety reasons, deflate it, disconnect
and remove the blower then lift the inflatable (this can be done with
a person lifting each corner) – do not under any circumstances drag
it.
|
 |
Keep
children off the equipment when inflating / deflating / deflated to
prevent risk of injury and protect the inflatables structure.
Deflate the inflatable when not supervised or in use.
(ie., during adverse weather conditions).
The unit must not be used in wet and windy conditions and must
also be suitably anchored
at all times
|
 |
No
food or drink shall be allowed on the inflatable.
|
 |
Do
not allow children to swing, climb or sit on the inflatable walls.
If using a slide combination unit, do not allow more than one
child at a time to be on the slide.
Do not allow children to bounce on the entrance walls of the
slide.
|
 |
Do
not overcrowd the inflatable or allow children to become
boisterous, push or collide with each other. Should this occur
the unit is overcrowded. Common sense will determine how may children
of any one size can play safely on the equipment (please see our
safety guidelines).
|
 |
Inflatables
installed into licensed premises must be operated in a fenced off,
glass free area, deflated and securely stored when not in use, and
supervised by Bright’N’Bouncy, the Hiree, or an adult (18yrs+)
employee of the licensed premises at all times.
|
 |
Please
warn children of the tie down points and make the area behind the
inflatable, where the electrical blower is sited, out of bounds for
children.
|
 |
Ensure
all electrical connections, extension leads, plugs and sockets, as
well as the blower itself, are adequately protected from rain or water
ingress.
|
 |
Consider
medical conditions of the children using the equipment (especially
those with history of neck or back problems).
Asthmatics and children with special needs may require
additional supervision while using this equipment.
|
 |
Ensure
there is adequate first aid equipment available before using the
equipment.
Any incident relating to the use of the inflatable (no matter
how small), will be recorded in the accident book provided with full
details, names of supervisors, witnesses, injured persons etc.. |
 |
The inflatable must
be returned in an acceptable condition, i.e. clean, unsoiled and
undamaged.
If it is badly soiled or damaged The Hirer will be expected to
pay an additional charge to cover the cleaning costs and our loss of
earnings if the inflatable is rendered out of commission for any
reason |
